Jesus Foretells Wars and Persecution

¹⁰ Then he said to them, ^(A)“Nation will rise against nation, and ^(B)kingdom against kingdom. ¹¹ There will be great ^(C)earthquakes, and in various places ^(D)famines and pestilences. And there will be ^(E)terrors and great ^(F)signs from heaven. ¹² But before all this ^(G)they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to ^(H)the synagogues and ^(I)prisons, and you ^(J)will be brought before ^(K)kings and ^(L)governors for my name's sake.
